VIDEO: Making it in Music programme at OLOL

A Celebration Event was held at Our Lady of Lourdes School, Ballymoney, marking the end of the Making it in Music programme.

Making it in Music was a week long, Awards for All funded programme hosted by the School and facilitated by Giga Training. The programme was open to all post primary aged young people and gave them hands on experience in film making, studio production, rock band song writing and performance.

Industry professional tutors lead teams in each area, with the aim of working towards writing and recording original music as well as filming an accompanying music video.

Participants also got the opportunity to be involved in a number of career advice sessions which focused on the Creative Industries. Industry experts were on hand to answer questions, offer guidance and tips on how to make a career in the music and film making industries.

The Celebration Event featured performances of the music created during the week, screenings of the music videos and playback of a recorded single.
