Storey congratulates new President

North Antrim MLA Mervyn Storey has welcomed the news that local man James McCaughern has become the new President of Ballycastle Chamber of Commerce.

North Antrim MLA Mervyn Storey has welcomed the news that James McCaughern has become the new President of Ballycastle Chamber of Commerce. INBM7-16S

In a statement to the Times, Finance Minister, Mervyn said James would ‘bring a great deal of experience and energy to the position’.

He continued: “I warmly congratulate James who I have known for many years.

“His family are very well respected, and have traded in Ballycastle for some time. I know James will bring a great deal of experience and energy to this position.”

He added: “I would like to also pay tribute to the outgoing President Paul Cochrane for the excellent work he has done over the last year.

“He hands over the Chamber of Commerce to James in good stead, and we all appreciate the role that Paul has played in the civic life of Ballycastle.”
