In tonight’s Lurgan Mail

IN tonight’s Lurgan mail we report on a sticky problem for the plaza in the town centre.

Craigavon Councillors are debating a proposal for a deep cleaning of the plaza area in Lurgan and Portadown to remove chewing gum and accumulated dirt - at a potential cost of £24,000.

We also report on reaction to our story last week about the potential closure of the doctors’ surgery in Waringstown with local MLA Jo-Anne Dobson joining the fight to save the surgery.

In other news we carry further details of the acrimonious Council AGM which saw Carla Lockhart elected Mayor - with Sinn Féin threatening legal action.

And we carry more pictures from Lurgan Show plus the vintage car rally at Brownlow House.
