He also commented on the outstanding performance of the school over the past year and how every child in the school had made significant progress.

Mr Magee and Mr Kinney, the Vice Principal gave a brief summary of what was a very busy and successful school year culminating in the school becoming a Sustrains Active Travel School and progressing to achieve their second Eco Green Flag Award. Mrs Mc Neill presented the awards to the winners of Sport’s Day. A variety of cups and awards recognising achievement in both sport and academic achievement within the school were made to pupils. Mr Magee then presented additional achievement awards to recognise pupils who had made valuable contributions to the school ethos.

The ceremony ended with the P 7 students being recognised for the completion of their Heartstart Award and taking part in a civil engineering project with Sentinus. Mr Magee commented that “Our school vision statement is to do your best and nothing less. I can certainly state that every member of our school community has worked very hard this year to raise their own standards and make our school a very enjoyable place to be. I would like to thank all members of our school community who help our students achieve to such high levels in all disciplines.”
