Voters made their voices heard yesterday (Thursday) by visiting the Polling Station on Rathlin Island.

The Island station traditionally has a turn out of about 75% - well above the national average.

Rathlin Island Polling Station Manager Teresa McCurdy praised the local community who turned out to vote.

The counting begins in new Causeway Coast and Glens council election today (Friday). The Ballymoney and Moyle Times are there to bring you the results as they are announced.
