Diabetes UK and Tesco have been enjoying a hugely successful national charity partnership which has helped raise a staggering £10 million in the last twelve months.

The Tesco Ballymoney team has raised a fantastic £19,243 over the last twelve months making it the top store in Northern Ireland and the third highest ranking store in the whole of the UK for the amount of money the team has raised.

Tesco Ballymoney staff and customers have organised and taken part in a number of events throughout the last year and have undoubtedly helped raise not only an impressive amount of money but also awareness in the local community.

Iain Foster, Diabetes UK National Director for Northern Ireland, said: “Recent figures have shown that there are now 1,108 people in the Ballymoney area living with diabetes and unfortunately we will continue to see this figure increase.

“Having the opportunity to work with Tesco Ballymoney, raise awareness and offer help is a massive step forward in trying to tackle and manage diabetes in our community.”
