All Council staff being paid Living Wage
All staff of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council are now being paid the new Living Wage.
Members of the Council’s Corporate Policy and Resources Committee were given the update at last Tuesday’s meeting by Council’s Chief Finance Officer David Wright. He was replying to a question from Cllr James McCorkell during a debate about special responsibility allowances for councillors. Mr Wright confirmed that from April 1st, staff were now receiving the £7.20 per hour. He added that Council had also taken the decision to pay ALL staff the Living Wage, not just those over 25.
