A26 Frosses work '˜is on schedule'

Work on the A26 Frosses Road is now half finished, and should be completed by summer next year, Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council has been told.

Transport NI’s Regional Manager for the Northern Division, Deirdre Mackle, told councillors during a recent meeting that work was on schedule.

She said: “I am sure that you don’t have to be an engineer to recognise and appreciate the volume of work that is going on there at the moment. I am delighted to say from our perspective that the scheme is going extremely well. We are currently on programme. I am pleased to say the majority of the large earthworks movement will be completed by the end of the month. We are just over 55 per cent of the way through the programme.”

We are not expecting any significant delays going forward. We remain on programme to be completed by summer 2017.”
