£90,000 Children in Need grant for Women's Aid

A project working with disadvantaged children and young people in Coleraine, Ballymoney and Moyle has been awarded £90,633 in new funding from BBC Children in Need, in the charity's latest grant round.

Causeway Women’s Aid has been awarded the grant over a period of three years and will use the funding to deliver a support programme to children and young people who have been affected by domestic violence and abuse.

With the funding, the project will be able to employ two support workers to run therapeutic group sessions, one to one sessions and a youth forum to give the young people the opportunity to discuss their feelings, enable them to develop a peer support network and build their confidence and self-esteem.

A big thank you to everyone who has fundraised or donated to make these grants possible!”
