UTV’s Sarah Travers, who is a patron of the charity TinyLife, dropped into the Marine Hotel, Ballycastle recently to collect a cheque for £6343.40 from the hotel co-owner Claire Hunter.
The money was raised at a hugely successful Black Tie Dinner and Dance held in the hotel in February and the proceeds were all in aid of the hotel’s current charity partner TinyLife, Northern Ireland’s premature and sick baby charity.
Claire said: “We are delighted with the support the hotel has received from our staff, clients, suppliers and the local people who helped raise such a fantastic amount of money for TinyLife.”
Gillian Breen, TinyLife Community Fundraiser in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust area added: “TinyLife is a small local charity and we are thrilled with the support we have received in the Ballycastle area. Our thanks go to the Marine Hotel for their fabulous donation which will go towards our Family Support Services being delivered to families in the local area.”
TinyLife provides practical and emotional support to the families of premature and sick babies across Northern Ireland and relies heavily on the support they receive from local businesses and members of the public to continue service provision.
