Two men seriously injured

TWO men received serious injuries in an assault at Market Street, Ballycastle, on Sunday.

One of the males had part of an ear bitten off. The other male is believed to have received suspected broken ribs and bruising after he was knocked unconscious.

Police believe as many as 15 males were involved in the assault.

Moyle PSNI are also appealing for information on the following incidents:

* April 9 - A Samsung Toca Mobile telephone was stolen from licensed premises in Ballycastle

* April 11 - Some items of furniture were stolen from a house at Bellisk Drive, Cushendall.

* April 14 - 50 litres of home heating oil were found following a report of suspicious activity at Novally Road, Ballycastle.

* April 16/17 - Two men were arrested and two houses searched after counterfeit Northern Bank £20 notes were discovered at Ballyvoy and Stranocum. The men were released on bail pending further enquiries

* April 16 - A Toyota Avensis car was damaged whilst parked in the Diamond area of Ballycastle.
