The Town and Country Together continues to be a success with the various projects between Loughgiel & Antrim, it is funded by the International Fund for Ireland and managed by the Northern Ireland Rural Development Council (RDC) under the Integrating Communities Programme.
The aim of the Integrating Communities Project is to encourage community organisations to start co-operating on a cross-border and/or cross community basis, working on issues of common interest or concern. The Fund wants to help existing cross-border or cross-community partnerships to deepen their relationship and to help create new partnerships.
The Town and Country Together Project is being led by Loughgiel Community Association in conjunction with a community organisation based in Parkhall, Antrim – Inter Estate Partnership.
A rugby coach came along to demonstrate some rugby skills to the children involved in the program.
