Ballymoney supermarket shoppers are being encouraged to clear out their clutter and bag up their bric a brac this week for a week-long donation drive to help stock Cancer Research UK’s shops.
Until this Sunday (September 29) people can bring quality clothes, books or accessories they no longer need along to participating Tesco stores and help raise vital funds for life-saving research.
There are a total of 300 Tesco stores across the UK taking part in the donation drive, led by Tesco clothing brand F&F, which aims to raise £1 million worth of donated goods for the charity.
Jean Walsh, Cancer Research UK spokesperson for Northern Ireland said: “Many of us have items tucked away in cupboards and drawers that we have been meaning to donate but haven’t yet found the time. Now customers can drop off their bags when they come in to shop.
“It would be wonderful if everyone who popped into Ballymoney Tesco store could bring a bag of things they no longer need. All donations will be gratefully received. To find out more visit www.cancerresearchuk.org
