Success at recent Ballymoney Show for Mosside WI

Mosside WI was awarded the N.A.A.A. Ltd Cup at Ballymoney Show for WI gaining most points overall in the Craftwork section as well as the £50 from McAfee Properties.

The Silver Goblet was won by member Betty Scott for individual gaining most points in Craftwork and a £30 voucher kindly presented by McAtamney’s Butchers. Betty also won a 1st and 2nd for Quilting, 2nd Beading, 1st Etui Box and 2nd for Tapestry.

Doreen Patton won a 1st for Aran Knitting, 2nd for Cross stitch, Patchwork, Decoupage, Decorated card, Water colour painting, Home- made sweets, Freezer jam, 3rd for Fudge, lemon curd and Apple jelly. Eileen White gained a 2nd for Maderia cake, Caraway Seed cake, Shah Biscuits, Fudge, Calligraphy Bookmark and 3rd for Home-made sweets. June Simpson a 1st for jewellery and Tapestry, 2nd Child’s knitted Arran and 3rd for Patchwork. Margaret Hermin 2nd for Arran garment and 6 truffles, 3rd for knitted garment, Macrame and Etui Box. Kay Malcolm 3rd for Celebration picture. Mosside WI celebrated at Bushfoot Golf Club. Best wishes to the birthday girls. Winner June Simpson.
