British Heart Foundation Northern Ireland urges local people to Spread the Red to help support over 2,800 people currently living with heart and circulatory disease in Ballymoney.

British Heart Foundation (BHF) Northern Ireland is urging the people of Ballymoney to Wear it. Beat it. on the 6 February 2015 and join the country in the fight for every heartbeat. One in four of our loved ones are lost to heart and circulatory disease every year in Northern Ireland.

Shockingly, 65 people in the Ballymoney council area die each year as a result of this disease and this is why BHF Northern Ireland is asking Ballymoney to show their support by wearing red and hosting an event to raise money for lifesaving research.

Currently, there are around 2,800 people living in Ballymoney with heart and circulatory disease. These worrying statistics show that the people of Ballymoney need the help of BHF Northern Ireland, from babies born with life-threatening heart problems to the many mums, dads and grandparents who survive a heart attack and endure the daily battles of heart failure.

This year, Northern Ireland was part of raising over £1 million during the February BHF’s UK wide Ramp up the Red fundraiser. In 2015, BHF Northern Ireland hopes to raise even more so that it can fight back harder against heart and circulatory disease. In order to do this, they are calling all local Ballymoney people to show their support and Spread the Red to fund lifesaving heart research.
