Tenants from six of Fold Housing Association’s independent living schemes came together to celebrate Fold’s 40th anniversary with an afternoon of entertainment at The Magherabuoy Hotel, Portrush.

Area Housing Manager, Bridie Doherty said, “Living in a Fold is very sociable and we love nothing more than a get together.

“We are delighted to have over 150 tenants from all of our schemes in the North West including, Tullaghmurry Fold, Portstewart, Rathain Fold, Coleraine, Toberondey Fold, Kilrea, Gortgole Fold, Portglenone Portcaman Fold, Bushmills and Skerries Fold, Portrush.”

She added, “Fold Housing Association schemes are very much part of the local communities.

“We get involved in different activities, events and support a whole range of charities. We are thrilled that Carnalridge Primary School Choir and flautists, Milburn Primary School Choir and Accordian Sounds from Bangor, joined our celebrations by giving wonderful performances for our tenants.

John McLean, Chief Executive of Fold said: “Fold was established by a group of committed volunteers to meet housing and care needs, and has grown to support over 30,000 homes.”
