What a weekend! To God be the glory! Drumreagh hall was full to capacity again this past weekend, with people, young and older, from all over the province coming to Soul Cafe for the final weekend.
With the masses finally seated on Friday night, the weekend kicked off again, with worship from The Well, an incredible Christian praise band from Whitewell Tabernacle Belfast, returning for the second year, and a powerful testimony from Matt Mc Gookin as to the challenges he faced growing up and how God helped him through.
Saturday night welcomed the gifted Ryan Griffith and band to lead to worship, and the revisit of Darryl Wilson, no stranger to Drumreagh, who shared how God had spoke powerfully to him in 2013 and led him to freedom through salvation in The Lord Jesus Christ.
Lee Mc Clelland, from Teen Challenge, Belfast, stood in for Pastor Mark Penny, who could not attend due to illness, shared from God’s Word on all three nights speaking on; Man’s greatest need – Jesus Christ. The preaching was anointed and by the power of the Holy Spirit lives were changed this weekend again. Fun and more teaching was then to be had at Soul Café plus for Year 11 and above with games, a panel and with worship led from The Well Band and Ryan Griffith to a standing crowd, well into the night, no one wanted to go home.
Sunday night broke all records with huge numbers again with attendees filling every nook and cranny of the hall; hallways, foyers and even the kitchen being packed with visitors standing and the well known local praise band Red Letter raising the roof together with hundreds of voices with praise to an almighty God.
‘A’ Level student Mollie Diamond inspired the crowd with how God dealt with her fears, Jesus Christ mightily saved her, and the Holy Spirit’s guidance since then, and as God used Lee to preach the gospel, no one was left in any doubt the ugliness of sin, and how real the need is for Jesus! With the final hymn sang – ‘Worthy is the Lamb’, thanks were offered up to a God who broke into hearts, restored and transformed lives this weekend and last.
With the prayer team upstairs covering the event with prayer and praise, and God’s Spirit moving through the hall, it was to His Glory that lives were changed this past weekend and before, with young and older answering the question ‘What is the answer?’ with the only real response… Jesus as Saviour – “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life”. John 8:12
At the end of the evening once the last visitor had left, the team gave thanks again to God for the success of the event with young and older lives changed due to Salvation, and they would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all those that served in any of the teams and supported in any way especially through prayer and to acknowledge that to God be all the glory.
