The big charity auction on Saturday (May 3rd) at Armoy Livestock Mart saw a brilliant turnout from the public.
The community showed up in their droves to bid on over 450 lots to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Alzheimer’s Society.
Event organiser Malachy Butler commented: “We were overwhelmed by the support at the Charity Auction this weekend.
“On behalf of the fundraisers for Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Alzheimer’s Society I would like to thank everyone from the volunteers, to those who donated, purchased, attended and helped in any way to make the day a fantastic success.
“A special note of thanks is extended to Danny McAlister and staff at the Armoy Livestock Market for their tremendous help and support, donating both time and premises to make the Charity Auction an enjoyable day for all.”
The vintage tractor along with many, many more generous donations all left the auction having raised a fantastic amount for charity, a final amount will be notified soon.
