Moyle District Council is opening a second call for applications under its Community Infrastructure Fund.
The aim of the Community Infrastructure Fund is to contribute towards improving the quality of community facilities and services in Moyle District. The purpose of the programme is to fund projects that will provide a long lasting benefit to the local area.
Organisations can apply for up to 20% of the total cost of a Capital Project. Organisations making applications for assistance with Technical Costs (such as professional fees and feasibility studies) can apply for up to 50% of the total cost of the technical assistance. In each case, the level of grant awarded will depend upon the amount of applications received and how well the project meets the assessment criteria; there is no guarantee that successful applicants will receive the amount applied for.
Louise Scullion, Community Services Officer stated: “Council has already awarded funding to several projects this year, including the Glens Youth Centre in Cushendall.
“We would like to remind groups that there is assistance available for technical costs that may provide vital support to develop projects to the stage of being able to apply to other large funders. Organisations are encouraged to contact us to discuss potential applications.”
The closing date is 4pm on Friday 12th October and organisations are reminded to ensure that application forms are submitted on time, since application forms received after the closing date will not be accepted.
Application forms and Guidance Notes are available to download from the Council web-site www.moyle-council.org or can be obtained by contacting the Development Department at Moyle District Council on 028 2076 2225.
