On Wednesday 15th October, Red Bay Lifeboat (RNLI) were very pleased to be presented with a cheque for £750 for the R.N.L.I.

The money was raised by all the ladies of Carnlough Women’s Institute, when they held their successful Vintage Day on 2nd August.

With the help and generosity of supporters, such as Carnlough W.I. the charity is able to provide the vital lifeboat safety cover, that exists around the coasts of Britain and Ireland.

The RNLI is a purely voluntary organisation without any state funding, relying solely on contributions from the public.

Also on 15th October, the ladies at Carnlough WI presented a cheque for £750 to Elizabeth Warden, Chairman of The International Sub-Committee of the Womens Institute, for ACWW’s (Associated Countrywomen of the World) projects.

This money will be used in their projects throughout the world.

These funds were also raised by the ladies of Carnlough when they held their successful Vintage Day.
