THE final talk in Ballymoney Borough Arts Committee’s current series of local history talks, takes place this Thursday (24 March) when popular historian S Alex Blair looks at the topic of Politics and the People.
Politics did not mean much to most people until the vote was extended and they obtained a say in the running of the country. Then politicians had to be aware of the wishes of their electorate and political parties took shape.
It will be a thought-provoking and racy look at the way our opinions and stances have been moulded and, perhaps, help us to see why we think as we do today.
The talk begins at 8pm in Ballymoney Town Hall. Admission £2 includes refreshments. The series is promoted by Ballymoney Borough Arts Committee in conjunction with Ballymoney Museum.
