Over thirty five local organisations have taken part in NRC’s ‘Info Fest’ a new style Freshers’ Fair which helps students break the ice and integrate themselves into campus life.

Organised as part of the induction process at the Ballymoney Campus, the ‘InfoFest’ will provide students will a range of advice, guidance and information from personal finances, support agencies, leisure activities to volunteering with charitable organisations, in preparation for the academic year.

Commenting on the event Stephen McCartney, NRC’s Student Support Manager: “This is a great opportunity for new students to mix with each other and to get to know the local organisations who have come along to provide advice and information on a wide range of subjects and introduce them to their services. It’s a successful event, due to the support of local organisations and we would like to thank them for their participation in supporting our learners.”

NRC’s Student President, Stephen Kelly who worked alongside the Student Support team in creating the new ‘InfoFest’ experience said: “This is the first time many of the student have the opportunity to learn and interact with these organisations directly and the College’s Support team. It’s a great start to the academic year and also a bit of fun.”

The event will be held at each of the NRC campuses over the course of the next week to ensure all of the students benefit from the experience.
