Moyle Council launches its Community Grants Programme

Moyle District Council is inviting community and voluntary groups in the district to apply to its Community Grants Programme with grants available under the following programmes: Community Festivals Fund, Community Infrastructure Fund, Rural Summer Schemes Grant, Seeding Grants and Community Small Grants Scheme.

Louise Scullion, Community Services Officer stated: “Council has launched its programme of grants for the incoming year, some of which have fast approaching closing dates so we would encourage local groups to get prepared and make sure that they have their applications submitted on time.”

She added: “Council has a significantly increased budget of over £130,000 for the Community Grants Programme this year and we hope that this will provide invaluable support to local community groups who are organising activities and events or planning projects to improve their local community. We would encourage groups to access the guidelines on criteria and eligibility on Council’s website and contact us if they have any queries.”

The closing date for Community Festivals Fund and Rural Summer Schemes Grants is 4pm on Friday 30th March 2012 and for Community Infrastructure Fund the closing date is 4pm on Friday 27th April 2012. Groups should ensure that application forms are submitted on time, since application forms received after the stated closing dates will not be accepted. Application forms and Guidance Notes are available to download from the Council web-site or can be obtained by contacting the Development Department at Moyle District Council on 028 2076 2225.
