MOYLE District Council is offering community groups in Moyle the chance to take part in a unique networking event, aimed at giving groups in the area the opportunity to meet and learn through sharing experiences, achievements and examples of good practice.
‘Moyle Communities Connecting’, which is being organised through Moyle’s Community Support and Good Relations Programmes, will take place from 9.45am to 2pm on Wednesday 27th March 2013 in Ballycastle Golf Club.
The event will include facilitated discussions and the opportunity to benefit from good practice examples from community groups willing to share their experiences with others. The morning will provide a great opportunity to network with similar groups and attendees will be given the chance to participate in a number of relaxed and informal discussions, covering some of the important issues that face community groups today, including: ‘Volunteering & Getting People Involved’; Getting Your Message Across’; ‘Getting Things Done’ and ‘Motivation & Keeping it Going’. Attendees will also be encouraged to express their thoughts on what type of support they need and how the Moyle District Community Support and Good Relations Programmes can assist them.
‘Moyle Communities Connecting’ will provide an informal setting for community group members to interact with each other and an opportunity to make contacts with other groups with similar aspirations, experiences, problems and solutions. The morning will finish with a networking lunch (which will be provided) and an opportunity for groups to discuss what they have learned.
Participation is free, so to book your place on ‘Moyle Communities Connecting’ simply contact:
