Stabbing incident in Ballymoney - appeal

POLICE are appealing for information following a stabbing-type incident on Victoria Street in Ballymoney.

Shortly before 2am on Boxing Day night a group of young males were reported to be causing a disturbance on Victoria Street which resulted in a young male sustaining a stab-type injury to his side. He was later taken to Causeway Hospital where he received stitches.

It is believed those responsible ran off on foot along Queen Street.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or saw a group of half a dozen males gathered around the area during the time of the attack to get in touch.
