POLICE are appealing for information following the report of a stabbing of a man on Victoria Street, Ballymoney on 27 December 2012.

The man attended hospital for treatment but his injuries were not life threatening. Police would like to speak to a male wearing a white hooded jacket who ran towards Carnary after the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the intial incident on Victoria Street, who saw this man in the white jacket or was flagged down for a lift by him is asked to contact Ballmoney Police on 0845 600 8000. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously.
