Resurfacing work welcomed

NORTH Antrim DUP MLA Mervyn Storey has welcomed confirmation that Road Service are to carry out resurfacing on the Finvoy Road.

Mr. Storey said: “For sometime there has been concern expressed at the surface of the road just past the exit of the new 40 mph limit heading towards the junction of Lislaghan road and the Drumskea Road.

“Some two years ago Road Service used this stretch of Road as a test for other types of surface dressing, however it has progressively deteriorated over that time until now it is in a very poor state of repair.

“After meeting with Mr John McKinley from Roads Service he confirmed that the work would commence next week.”
