Rathlin Island Ferry Ltd ready for summer

IT may still be frosty but Rathlin Island Ferry Ltd are already looking beyond icicles to sunny days and happy trippers to come.

Their Summer Schedule begins on March 25th.

This year the Rathlin Ferry Company are working with local providers both in Rathlin and in Ballycastle to encourage the visitor to include other aspects of the area in their visit.

A perfect day to take the ferry to Rathlin can begin in Ballycastle! Enjoy a hearty breakfast before you go. The harbour has plenty of

parking and lovely restaurants all open for early breakfast. On Rathlin you can hire a bike, take the bus or hike to the outer corners. The Seabird Centre at the West Light opens at Easter. There you can enjoy the teeming wild life which is such an attraction year after year.

Back at Church Bay while waiting for your return ferry you can bask in the sun (which alway shines there) and do a spot of seal watching while enjoying a meal, a drink or a coffee and home bake from one of the many hostelries along the harbour.

On your return you can dine on fresh fish and gourmet chips at Ballycastle Harbour before driving home.

An added bonus for those who are lucky enough to have one - Smart Pass holders travel on the ferry for free! Under 5s also travel for free and the ferry offers a Family Ticket which covers 2 adults and 2 children (5-15) for just £30.

Pre-booking is essential – just call and reserve your space and then pay on the day.

See you in Rathlin for 2013!
