Male arrested

POLICE have arrested a 19-year-old male in relation to an incident which took place on Saturday, January 26 when it is alleged two glass bottles were thrown at a police vehicle on the Knock Road, Dervock causing damage to the windscreen.

The arrest, in relation to the alleged criminal damage, took place on Wednesday, February 6. The person has since been released pending further enquires.

Copper stolen

A quantity of copper has been stolen from a vacant property on Ballykenver Road, Strancoum.

It is believed the alleged incident took place on Thursday, February 7.

Drug offences

FOLLOWING the result of a search of premises in the Ballymoney town area a male has been arrested on suspicion of drug offences.

He has since been charged to appear in Court in March.

Shoplifting arrests

A FEMALE was arrested on Wednesday, February 6 on suspicion of theft by shoplifting from a local supermarket in the Castlecroft area.

Meanwhile another male has also been arrested following a separate report of alleged shoplifting in the same premises on Saturday, February 9.

Oil taken

POLICE are investigating following the alleged theft of heating oil from a dwelling in the Greymount Park area of Ballymoney.

It is believed up to 500 litres was taken and damage was caused to a padlock.

Police are appealing for information and would like remind people to be aware of the need for oil tank security.
