Nuala delivers £14k to Action Cancer - with Ballymoney help!

Action Cancer patron, and Belfast Telegraph columnist, Nuala McKeever announced a welcome delivery to the charity from independent retailer SuperValu this week. SuperValu stores across Northern Ireland recently held a trolley dash event to raise funds for Action Cancers Big Bus mobile screening and health promotion unit. Raffle tickets were sold to shoppers for just �1 each, and a winner at each SuperValu store got the chance to take part in a trolley dash around their local outlet, stocking up on goodies and everyday items. The fundraising event raised �14,000, bringing the total raised by SuperValu retailers for the mobile clinic to well over �1million. The Action Cancer Big Bus was launched in 2006, and since then 35,000 people have used the breast screening and health promotion services on the unit. The fundraising event raised £14,000, bringing the total raised by SuperValu retailers for the mobile clinic to well over £1million. The SuperValu store in Ballymoney took part in the recent fundraising week.

The Action Cancer Big Bus was launched in 2006, and since then 35,000 people have used the breast screening and health promotion services on the unit. As part of the eleven year old partnership between Action Cancer and SuperValu, stores host Big Bus visits and raise funds throughout the year to fund the life-saving service.
