New police station open

BALLYMONEY’S new multi-million pound police station will finally open its door to the public this week.

Officers have already moved into the new facility which replaces Westerncroft House on Charlotte Street.

Inspector David Anderson explained: “We are in the process of moving in and it will be open to the public by Wednesday or Thursday once a few things have been tidied up.

“If anyone calls at the old building they will be directed across the road to the new base.”

* The station will be officially opened in the New Year possibly April or May time.
