Independents finalise Twelfth arrangements

MEMBERS of the Independent Loyal Orange Institution will be celebrating the 322nd anniversary of the Battle of the Boyne in Rasharkin on Thursday 12th July.

Arrangements are as follows.

Parade leaves assembly field at Finvoy road at 1.00pm prompt for parade through the village to demonstration field at Church Road.

Platform proceedings to commence at 2.15pm,County Grand Master Antrim Wor Bro James Anderson presiding.

Following platform proceedings there will be a short musical interlude to allow cars to exit field.

The parade will reform and make the return journey down through the village, route to be Church Road,Main Street and Moneyleck Road where it will disperse adjacent to bus parking area.

Meanwhile, at their recent meeting the Rasharkin Lodge finalised the arrangements for their pre-Twelfth event at Rasharkin which will be held at the farm of Tommy Fenton on the Duneaney Road.

The evening will consist of Pipe and Flute band music, country music, bouncy castle and a barbeque. Action will get under way around 7pm and will last until 10.30pm.
