Hallowe’en fancy dress and fireworks in Ballycastle

DON’T miss the Hallowe’en Parade in Ballycastle on Hallowe’en night this year.

There will be a colourful array of ghostly characters including a three metre tall Dracula, fire-poi (flaming ropes which make pretty patterns) , large puppets, a giant four metre witch, Olympic skeletons, lanterns made from re-cycled bottles, as well as many people in fancy dress.

The Arts Officer for Moyle District Council said: “ Dracula will be making a special appearance at this year’s parade and there will be prizes for best fancy dress including junior, teenage and adult categories, so everyone is invited to come along in costume and enjoy the evening.”

The parade will depart from Altananam Park at 7pm tomorrow (Wednesday 31 October), with fireworks at Ballycastle Seafront at 8pm. Afterwards, why not go to the Haunted Trails, a ghostly installation at Greenlight Garden Centre, Leyland Road.

The parade is delivered by Moyle District Council Arts Programme with activities also funded by Re-think Waste. Prizes are by Moyle District Council Tourism and Leisure Department. For further information and a leaflet with dates and times, please contact Ballycastle Tourist Information on 028 2076 2024 or visit the website www.moyle-council.org/events. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
