Fitting tribute to servicemen and women both past and present: MLA
North Antrim DUP MLA Mervyn Storey has said that Ballymoney Councils conferment of the Freedom of the Borough on the TA was a fitting tribute to all those both past and prsent who have served in the Regiment.
Commenting after attending Saturdays event Mervyn Storey said: “The highest honour any Council can give is that of the Freedom of the Borough. In the case of the 152 (Ulster) Transport Regiment of the Royal Logistics Corps of the Territorial Army, this honour was well deserved. It is a recognition of the dedicated service of all those who from this Borough and other places have given in demanding situations and often at great personal sacrifice.
“Ballymoney has had a long association with the TA and it was fitting that Ballymoney should as was the case with the RIR recognise that association and those both past and present who service in its ranks.”
