Bushmills greengrocer named best local trader in NI
A FAMILY business in Bushmills has made it into the line-up for a top retail award from consumer champion Which?.
The "Which? Local Business of the Year" award recognises traders that go the extra mile for their customers. The winner will receive their prize from news presenter Natasha Kaplinsky at a gala ceremony in the British Museum, London on June 9.
Glass's in Bushmills is a family business which has been running for over 20 years, selling fruit, vegetables, flowers and fish. Glass's is the only Northern Ireland entrant in the category, which has nine other regional finalists.
Run by husband and wife Freda and Carson Glass, the business is committed to delivering the highest level of customer service.
"We try our best to please people - we try to be pleasant and we go out of our way to get things they ask for," said Freda.
"We also get the best quality we can - we are at the market at 3am to buy fresh produce.
"We do home deliveries and supply hotels and we are open seven days a week. The only day we take off is Christmas Day."
