£50 note scam in Bushmills

DETECTIVES are advising local business people, staff and members of the public to be vigilant following a recent scam involving a £50 note.

Police have received three reports in the Bushmills Castlerock and Articlave areas where a man enters commercial premises to purchases items with a single £50 note or asks to have the note changed. He then distracts the member of staff and eventually leaves the premises with change AND the original note.
