25 year jewel for Prestons stalwart

ONE of the unsung heroes of the Loyal Orders in the Bushmills area has been presented with a long-service jewel.

William Parke has been a member of Prestons LOL 1987 for 25 years and at the annual installation in the hall last Thursday night, the Bushmills District Master, Brian Sweeney and the WM of Prestons, William James Elliott, presented him with his medal.

Bro. Elliott described his colleague as a real stalwart of the Lodge and fully deserving of his medal.

“William is always one of the first at the hall and acts as a Tyler. His dedication and loyalty is beyond question. He never misses a meeting and we are all delighted at him achieving this award,” the WM said.
