The new chief executive of the Causeway Coast and Glens Council was welcomed to his post by the chair of the Transition Committee.
Meeting in Coleraine on Thursday evening, chair of the Transition Committee Cllr Robert McIlroy (Moyle) welcomed David Jackson to the meeting.
He said he was confident that Mr Jackson would make a significant contribution to the success of the new CC&G council.
“We look forward to working with you during this exciting and challenging time,” said Cllr McIlroy.
Cllr John Finlay (Ballymoney) also added his congratulations to Mr Jackson on behalf of the DUP grouping.
Sinn Fein councillor Philip McGuigan (Ballymoney) also welcomed Mr Jackson to the post on behalf of his party and Clllr Norman Hillis (Coleraine) added his congratulations on behalf of the UUP.
