Ballymoney town community youth leaders have launched the programme of Kids Halloween Festival Films and stories and competitions to keep children entertained during schools out week 28th - 31st October.
Tell Me A Story:
Stories are told about Ulster’s Epic Giant Finn McCool and his Scottish Rival, Benandonner. Young children get the chance to hear the traditional myth in the Ulster Scots tongue. Town Hall on Monday 28th October, 3 pm. Admission £1 includes treats. Story published by Ullans Speakers Association.
The local library will host a storytelling and crafts event aimed at 4-8 year olds on 31st October, 3-4 pm (booking essential – contact Library). .
Films on the Big Screen
Our film selection is FRANKENWEENIE, at 11.00 a.m. on Monday 28th and CASPER the friendly Ghost, 11 am on Wednesday 30th October, are sure to be a big hit. Both screenings at Town Hall. Admission £1.00, including treats.
Fetch your crayons, paints or colouring pencils and join in the fun. Colouring competition for 3-6 year olds and art competition 7-11 year olds, with a chance to win a hamper of goodies. Details have been circulated to all primary schools in the borough. Closing date for entries noon on 23 October. Winning entries will be displayed in town shops during the festival week.
Pause for thought on the haunting trail in the Town Centre for a chance to win a Halloween treat. The hunt starts on 25th, so pop into Town Hall when schools out and pick up entry form, to be returned by 1 pm on 30th.
