Kilraughts YFC has its 70th anniversary this year– a milestone that we are celebrating with a number of different occasions, events and fundraising activities which will be rounded off with an anniversary meal in the Royal Court on 10th November 2012, writes Emily Walsh.
Tickets for this event will be released early next summer.
Throughout the winter programme we are hoping to hold a charity fundraiser and an old and young evening where present members meet the members who made Kilraughts YFC what it is today. I would ask any members who have videos or photographs of days gone by to get in contact with any of the committee members, maybe you could name some of the people in these old photos!
New and present members will enjoy a packed winter programme of club meetings, such as visits to Stormont, First aid training, dance lessons and many other competitions and events. In September junior members are set to enjoy a junior camp at Woodhall Recreational centre in Kilrea, where they will take part in many different activities such as banana boating, archery and climbing. Any new members wishing to go should speak to any committee member. As part of our busy winter programme we would like to invite everyone to our Church service in Kilraughts First Presbyterian Church on Sunday 13th November 2011.
Any enquires about our 70th Year celebrations should be directed to our 70th anniversary secretary Kathryn Woosey on 07514820632.
