Increased audience numbers for Ballymoney Festival

Audience numbers at this year’s Ballymoney Drama Festival were well up on last - a testament to the quality of plays on offer.

Committee Cup for Overall Winner: Newpoint Players, Newry - Metamorphosis. Sir Robert Lynn Cup for Best Irish Dialect Play: Lifford Players – The Absence of Women. Route Cup for Best Actor: Neil Heaney for his performance as Gregor Samsa in Newpoint Players’ production of Metamorphosis.

Dalriada Cup for Best Actress: Andrea Brown for her performance as Hedda Gabler in The Clarence Players’ production of Hedda Gabler Tom Dale Trophy for Best Supporting Actor: Stephen Connolly for his performance as Judge Brack in The Clarence Players’ production of Hedda Gabler. Tom Dale Trophy for Best Supporting Actress: Avril Robb for her performance as Thea Elvsted in The Clarence Players’ production of Hedda Gabler. Vin Smyth Memorial Trophy for Best Producer: Sean Treaner for Newpoint Players’ Metamorphosis.
