Good Relations Grant Schemes

Ballymoney Borough Council has agreed to give £350 to 13 applications from the Good Relations Grant Scheme.

It was proposed by Cllr McLean and seconded by Cllr Finlay.

The money goes to: Bendooragh Apprentice Boys Cultural Society for assistance towards a Somme Heritage Trip; The Royal British Legion for assistance towards a Tattoo Event; Kilraughts Friendship Club for assistance towards a Local History Trip; Ballymoney Ornithological Association for assistance towards a Cross Community Coffee Morning; Ballymoney District LOL No.16 for assistance towards an Exhibition of Orange Banners;

St Brigids GAC for assistance towards a Jigs and Reels Event; Derrykeighan Guiding Stars LOL 995 for assistance towards The Private and a Major Event; Ballymaconnelly Renewal Group for assistance towards Community Classes; Ballymaconnelly Renewal Group for assistance towards a Photographic Project; Lint Dam Allotments Group for assistance towards a Community Open Day; Lint Dam Allotments Group for assistance towards a Networking Trip; Ballymaconnelly LOL 360 for assistance towards a Reminiscence and Games Night and

Dunloy Cycling Club for assistance towards a Giro D’Italia Community Day. Business awards

Ballymoney Borough Council has welcomed the Business Awards event being run by the Chamber of Commerce.

During a recent Development Committee meeting, members heard: ‘A good response has been received to date from sponsors and arrangements are being advanced for the delivery of the Awards event by the Chamber of Commerce in association with Causeway Chamber.’
