St James’s Presbyterian Girls’ Brigade Company rounded off their 2011 – 2012 session with their 48th Annual Parent’s Evening on Thursday 5 April.

This was held in the Church Hall and was well supported by parents and friends. The Chairman for the evening was Rev Hugh Cubitt and the special guest was Mrs Joan Cubitt.

The program included items from the various section in the company – the Explorers had a good time with The King and the Kittens and Our Picnic. There was also singing, choral speaking and lots more.

The Company section items included very badly behaved babies, a lesson on dentistry, drama and marching with a difference. We also heard about The Secret Baby and what Mel and Tiff got up to. The Finale was based on the Easter Message.

The Captain – Anne Walsh then called on Joan to hand over the awards and trophies to the girls.

Rev Cubitt brought the evening to a close with the benediction.
