There was great celerbation in Gaelscoil an Chaistil recently when their Primary 6/7 children performed spectacularly well in not one but two different drama competitions in the one month.

The children brought their Christmas play, a production on how Cúchulainn got his name, to new audiences. The first drama competition, Coirm Gael Linn, the children entered was in Armagh where they did a fantastic performance winning them a range of awards. The second competition, ‘Féile Scoildrámaíochta’, was in Belfast where once again the children returned to school with their medals.

School principal, Brídin Ní Dhonnghaile, explained, “We’re really very proud of all the hard work and preparation the children put into the drama. It’s fantastic to watch the children be motivated by their roles and take such pride in what they do.

“We have a great school community here at Gaelscoil an Chaistil and I would like to thank the parents and everyone who helped support the children.”
