SIXTY to eighty people stayed on Rathlin Island as part of a flotilla of boats which travelled from Scotland.

It was hailed as a boost to the area by Moyle Council Chairperson, Cllr Cara McShane (pictured right).

The arrival of the Scottish armada was part of a new branding initiative involving the north coast of Ireland and western Scotland, called ‘Malin Waters’.

Moyle Council has agreed to pay funding of over £8,000 to the Malin Waters initiative.
