Popular singer Curtis Magee will launch his brand new CD, entitled “Keep on Dancing” at this month’s Lammas Fair in Ballycastle.
Curtis says: “ This will be my 22nd year at the Fair and every year I like to have something new for my fans.
“Loyal fans come to the Fair and support me every year and it’s always nice to see and meet so many people who enjoy my music.”
Curtis adds: “The Aul Lammas Fair was a great way to showcase my music and recordings to such a vast number of people, now here we are 22 years later, still entertaining along the Quay Road in Ballycastle with 29 different CD’s and 11 DVD’s”.
His new offering features 29 great songs, such as “Kiss Me Mary, The Best Part Of The Day Is The night, My Own Sligo Home, Medals For Mothers, Mickey Marley’s Roundabout, and I Met Her In The Galtymore, to name but a few.
Curtis says: “I play at a lot of social dances all over Ireland and I am always asked which of my CD’s is the best one for dancing to.
This prompted my decision to record “Keep on Dancing” an album of songs specifically for dancers.”
“I have chosen popular songs from my programme and so that people can sing along as they dance the night away.”
Curtis continues to be one of the busiest entertainers on the road today and after the Lammas Fair Curtis will pack his wagon once again and head off to The Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney, and then on to Lisdonvarna, before embarking on a three week tour of the UK in October.
