Stroke survivors, carers, volunteers, fundraisers or someone in a professional role who has made a difference. Now’s your chance to let them know how remarkable they are by nominating them for a Northern Ireland Life After Stroke Award.
As the only UK charity solely concerned with helping everyone affected by stroke, the Stroke Association recognises the huge and overwhelming impact a stroke can have.
Northern Ireland Director, Tom Richardson states;“Every day through our work in Northern Ireland, we witness some amazing people working to overcome the effects of stroke. 2014 marks the 3rd Northern Ireland Life After Stroke Awards which recognises and celebrates the courage and determination of those affected by stroke. So please nominate your stroke hero now!”
Nominations are required for seven categories: Adult Courage Award (18-64 years old); Adult Courage Award (age 65+); Carer’s Award; Stroke Association Award for Volunteering; Fundraiser of the Year Award; Award for Creative Arts and the Award for Professional Excellence.
The awards are open to all individuals affected by or associated with stroke throughout Northern Ireland and will take place on Thursday 8 May 2014 at a glittering event in the Stormont Hotel, Belfast.
