THE death has taken place of Jackie Henry, 4 Mayo Drive, Ballycastle.

Mr. Henry, who was 72-years-old, passed away at Dalriada Hospital following a long illness.

A popular and likeable member of the community, Mr. Henry worked for Moyle District Council, but had retired some years ago.

He will be best known for his involvement in the Ballycastle and District Pool League - a competition he organised for years.

Mr. Henry’s funeral took place on Saturday from his home to Ramoan Parish Church. Burial took place in the adjoining churchyard.

Mr. Henry is survived by his wife, Peggy, and children, Grace, Jacqueline, Thomas and Mandy to whom sympathy is extended.
