DESPITE the inclement weather, the Fun Day and display of vintage vehicles at Ballymoney Showgrounds on Saturday, May 11, proved a hit with visitors.
The organisers Ballymoney Old Vehicle Club deserve credit for their efforts. They managed to attract quite a few stallholders including a blacksmith whose presence caused quite a bit of interest.
And the display of old tractors and vintage vehicles was as good as seen at any local venue.
The chairman of the Old Vehicle Club, Harry Frizzell, and his team of volunteers donated the proceeds to the Causeway Branch of Breathe Easy.
Nessie Blair, the Development Officer with British Lung Foundation in Northern Ireland, praised the efforts of the Club after accepting a cheque for £500.
The Causeway branch of Breathe Easy meets on the first Thursday of the month and runs from 7-9pm .
The venue is Coleraine Rugby Football & Cricket Club, 1 Rugby Ave, Coleraine, BT52 1JL. For further information contact Nessie Blair, Development Officer with the British Lung Foundation, on 07902044363, email@example.com
