Police arrested two men and seized a significant quantity of suspected ecstasy tablets after officers stopped a car on the Coleraine Road, Ballymoney on Sunday night (30 November).
Inspector David Anderson said: “The car was searched and around £4,000 worth of tablets found. Two men, aged 21 and 23 were arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.
“The men have both been released on police bail while the tablets are tested to establish whether they contain ecstasy. This drug search and seizure was not planned by officers, but came about after they perceived suspicious behaviour. It is important, however, that you contact police if you have concerns about the sale of drugs in your community. We will look into any report that we receive as we work with the community to reduce the harm caused by illegal drugs.
